About Me:

Hello! Let’s start with the introduction, shall we? My name is Emily, but I also go by Em. I am a 19 year old in community college with a photography major and the want to be fit.

I have always tried to start working out but never had the motivation to keep going with it. Now, after being out all the time with my boyfriend, I have gained more weight than I would have liked and weigh the most I ever have. I am still in a healthy zone for my height according to the BMI chart, but I know my fat/muscle composition is bad.  

I have taken a fitness education class, so I know some basics of how the body works with exercise and all that jazz. And I still have my book to look back on if anyone has questions. I wish I still had the worksheets that the teacher gave us, but they were on the computer and I deleted all of my school stuff before I realized I wanted them still.

About My Blog:

This is a healthy weight loss tumblr. I started it mainly to help motivate me by following all the lovely and amazing ladies who have already taken initiative to become healthy and fit, as well as track my progress.

I also am trying to get my 4 year old German Shepard mix, Kya (pictured @ bottom of page), back into shape as well.

My title is a play on words of both my nickname “Em”, as well as “I’m” fit and healthy. My url elegant-imperfection(wanted it to be beautiful-imperfections, but that was taken already XP), is meant to help me find peace with my imperfections. I know that even once I am able to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle that there will be times where I find something that I won’t be too happy with. If I am able to be completely happy with my body, there are sure to be others who will make unnecessary and rude comments about my appearance. I hope that it also helps other believe that their imperfections are just as beautiful and elegant as the rest of them, because they help what make a person who they are along with everything else and there is always someone out there that will believe that your imperfections are the cutest thing they have ever seen.
